What a commercial handyman call usually covers

• Doors, locks, closers and hardware, including accessible door operators
• Drywall repair, patching and painting in units, corridors and common areas
• Washroom repairs: fixtures, partitions, dispensers, taps and toilets
• Light fixtures, lamps, ballasts and switch replacements
• Shelving, millwork, signage, whiteboards, TV mounts and furniture assembly
• Floor and tile repairs, thresholds and trim

What we will tell you to hire a licensed trade for

Anything touching gas, structure, sprinklers, fire alarm systems or the main electrical service belongs with the trade that carries that ticket. We will say so plainly rather than take the work. Where a job needs a licensed electrician or plumber, we have them on the team and the permit goes in properly.

How we work with property managers and landlords

• A written price before the work starts. The number you approve is the number you are invoiced, unless the scope changes and you approve that too.
• One point of contact. A project manager runs the job rather than the person holding the tools, so you are not chasing a crew for updates.
• Documentation. Certificate of insurance and WSIB clearance on request, before the first job.
• Work that fits the building. Evening and weekend scheduling where tenants or customers make daytime work impractical.
